RIP Kaos: Hero dog who saved lives after earthquake poisoned to death

They killed the hero who dug with his four paws during those dramatic hours to find survivors of that massacre. Kaos saved humans, and those same humans poisoned him.

KATE BUCK: A hero dog who saved the lives of people in Italy after an earthquake has been poisoned to death in his own home. Kaos, a German shepherd, and his owner Fabiano Ettore were among the first to arrive at the hilltop town of Armatrice in central Italy after a 6.2 magnitude earthquake caused untold devastation… The quake in August 2016 killed 230 people, but Kaos and Fabiano assisted rescue workers for weeks afterwards to help survivors… More recently, Kaos helped find a missing man… Fabiano discovered his dog’s poisoned body in the garden of their home in Sant’Eusanio Forconese. Fabiano said that the death of Kaos has left an ‘unbridgeable void’…

Animal rights activists have now called for tougher penalties against animal cruelty and have condemned the actions of the ‘dangerous criminal’ behind Kaos’ poisoning. Rinaldo Sidoli, a communication manager for Animalisti Italiani said: “They killed the hero who, together with rescuers, dug with his four paws during those dramatic hours to find survivors of that massacre. Kaos saved humans, and those same humans poisoned him”. Italian police have now opened an investigation into the suspected poisoning’. SOURCE…
